I did not want to forget to write this thank-you.......

Jeff and I picked up my car about 2 weeks ago and promptly left for a short vacation in the mountains of NC (to cool off!), so I didn't get a chance to send a thanks for the supreme service I received (and my car) from Pete....

It was all my fault that I missed the scheduled Wednesday appointment that Pete had set up to repair my seats in the Z... Some friends came in from out of state and called to play golf. Well, when someone ask me to play golf, anything else on my radar screen gets shoved aside as though it never existed! I felt terrible for missing my appointment on that Wednesday, and Pete let me bring the car in on Thursday. When Pete had more work to do on another car, I felt completely comfortable in telling him to take his time with the other car, because the work on my car was more-or-less cosmetic. But when he said he would need to keep it over the weekend, I was fine with just bringing it home and waiting for a better time. I had a lot of errands to run over the weekend to prepare for our trip.

Well, that little honey-pie named Pete came back to work and worked until the wee-hours to finish my car so I could come and pick it up and not have to reschedule. I know he has a family.... For him to take time away from his family and show such dedication to me, just a customer, really makes me know I have my car in the right hands, and that you all care about the work and the services you provide. That was a perfect example of EXACTLY WHY I DO NOT USE THE DEALERSHIP HERE IN SARASOTA!!!!!! --- The dealership here made me feel invisible, unimportant, and not valued even for the dollars I would pay..... THANK YOU, AND PETE for continuing to give me all the reasons I need to keep coming back to your Renn Haus.

I know you know I hope to not have to see you anytime soon, but I hope you know too that I will never go anywhere else should I need you all again for my little baby car.....

Recently I had issues with my 2001 Porsche Boxster, after having new tires installed and an oil change.

The next day, every time I started my car white smoke would pour out the exhaust. The place that had changed the oil drained and replaced the oil to the correct level while I observed. No change - still smoked when first starting and while driving.

Took my car to Renn Haus, and Pete Conry quickly diagnosed the problem as “Someone over filled the oil on the initial oil change”. They drained the oil and checked the compression on all cylinders and found them to be way too high (235 -250) when they should have been around 180. Pete, conferred with the Porsche Guru, and was told to drain the oil over night along with the oil separator and retest the compression the next day.

All was as it should be and my car now runs beautifully. The mistake of overfilling damaged the Oil Separator, and fouled the spark plugs and could have caused serious damage to the engine had it not been caught in time.

My “Grateful Thanks” to Pete and his crew. All my future service will be at Renn Haus no matter how minor like a simple oil change.
